Filmmaker Shankar is known for his extravagant films which make the superstars look grander on screen. After working with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, the director shared that he had plans to again go big with a Pan-India mega-budget project. Now it seems like his plan is already in making with Ranveer Singh taking the forefront this time.
A few weeks back, Khilji Singh set the rumors mills churning as he took a break from the shoot of his ongoing upcoming film Cirkus. He was clicked by the shutterbugs in Chennai and as per reports the reason he flew all the way down south was to meet director Shankar for a new project.
He had approached the director for starring in his next and both were in talks if they can collaborate for the mega-budget movie Shankar is planning. Now as per the latest developments, the two have reached a conclusion and can soon be seen working together. While some reports suggested that it could be for Robot’s sequel where Ranveer will be replacing Akshay as the villain, others state it is similar to Aparichit. The 2006 thriller Aparichit was a huge hit that starred Vikram and the story is now being reportedly taken forward by a sequel.
Now fans are awaiting official confirmation and announcement for this massive confirmation between Ranveer Singh and Shankar. Meanwhile, the filmmaker has already announced his next pan- India film with Ram Charan Tej.
On Ranveer’s work front, he is currently shooting for his next film Cirkus, which also reportedly stars Deepika Padukone, directed by Rohit Shetty. The film also stars Varun Sharma and Pooja Hegde. Jacqueline Fernandez has been roped in as the female lead in the film.
